Custom Home In Tarzana

Style: Pueblo
Budget: $200K plus
Completion Time: 50 weeks
Location: Tarzana
Type: Tear down and rebuild a custom home

A Pueblo style custom home we built in Tarzana. This home won an AIA aware and was featured in the Los Angeles Home Tour. An old home that was on the site was demolished, saving for a little area and the new custom home was built. This home is situated at the edge of a steep slope and is wrapped with a wood deck. The architect kept to the Pueblo style with exposed vegas (shaved logs), DF scuppers and a lot of VGDF (vertical grain Douglass Fir) elements throughout (railing, doors, cabinets, garage doors, etc.). A HUGE custom skylight forms the 'roof' over the entire entry and kitchen and features a retracting awning over its entire U shape span.
